New River PAT/MIHOW

New River Parents as Teachers (PAT)/Maternal Infant Health Outreach Worker (MIHOW) is a free, evidence-based program offered through New River Health Association to help parents recognize their value as their child’s first and most important teacher. Parents and caregivers are essential for a child’s success.

New River PAT/MIHOW serves prenatal women and individuals/families with children up to five years of age. Parent Educators provide information on pregnancy and education regarding early childhood development. They also provide support, encouragement, additional resources and referrals to help children and families thrive.
